Blind and very turned around, it looks like. He's trying to walk towards Togami, but it ends up being walking towards the left to Togami, arms outstretched.]

[he spends his time in his room reading. When he's not in the house, he's out managing his own stocks he's acquired in various NPC owned and non-NPC owned businesses in Holly Heights, as well as Dunkin' Go Nuts' financial side. He's busy, but pretty bored with all that. It's too easy.]

Gau looks way, way too flabbergasted at that statement for it not to be insulting.]

She happens to be a talented individual at the top of her field, more than worth of dating the next head of the Togami family. I don't need you telling me my business.

[There's something nagging him in the back of his mind. It almost feels like jealousy- jealousy not of Togami or his unknown date but the fact that he's going on a date at all.

For some reason, he has the deep desire to go on a date and be romantic with someone as well, but he can't quite say with whom.]

...Right, the boxes. [sudden topic change!] What color were they for you?

[he may not be a pink haired swordsman, but he's byakuya togami. that is more than a chance.

And yeah no, he's sure Fukawa will be more miserable than usual, but that doesn't bother him. Fukawa isn't anyone to him at all, after all.]

It was pink. There was nothing in it, so I shoved it aside. It's not as if I plan on keeping an empty box around, but as it's from the landlord, there may be something important about it later on.

That's strange... I got a pink box as well as a red one!

[He pauses for a moment, to think.]

Do you feel strange in any way, Togami-san? If one of the boxes are from the landlord and one caused me to go blind- and I'm guessing that was the red box- then perhaps the other one had an effect as well!

[well, he can clearly still see (even if he has glasses), and he doesn't feel any different. Just more interested in Kirigiri than he would have otherwise, but he's rationalized that himself. Kirigiri is one of the tops of her field, she's not bad looking, and they have similar interests. It wouldn't be surprising if, were they at home, she wound up being one of the women selected to be one of his wives. Just wait until he gets his senses back about him...]

I feel the same as I always have. The pink box could just be a dud. Clearly it was the red box that caused you to go blind. [he shouldn't need to explain why, seeing as they both got pink boxes, and only Gau is blind.]

[The latter theory was a conclusion he came to as well, but the former was something he had a little more trouble accepting.

He taps a finger on his chin after a moment's thought.]

Don't you think it's strange that the Landlord would go to the trouble of delivering those boxes if they didn't do anything?

[It does sound strange, he will admit that, but he also doesn't feel any different. And he wouldn't put it past the Landlord to try and create a false sense of panic in people that receive a pink box. If everyone else got one and had something happen to them, then what would happen to those people that got a pink box? They would wonder why nothing's happened yet.]

Don't you think he's exactly the type to mislead us by sending out false leads? Everyone that receives only a pink box would hear about whatever's happening to those receiving other colors and wonder what's happened to them. He seems like the type of deranged person to do just that. [But clearly Togami is Too Smart to fall for this.]

[Yes, well, that was true. It still didn't sit well with Gau. Maybe trying to figure what the box did was part of the fun, but he couldn't accept that it was a dud in the end.]

That might be something he would do for his own amusement, but it doesn't fit his past behavior... Unfortunately, he puts action behind everything when these events occur instead of lying back and letting things happen!

I think it did something to us, but we just don't know it yet!

Or that could be what he wants you to think. Mind games don't seem beyond him. After all, his past behavior does include harboring killers and having us discern their identities on our own. [Not that. He minded that. But he feels the need to remind Gau just in case he forgot. Also because, you know, Gau was dead most of the time during that, so he likely had no idea what was going on for the living.]

[He stiffens a little at the mentions of killers- it wasn't a pleasant memory to be smacked in the face with, clearly.]

I won't be caught off guard like that again! [He already has.] If it's something as bad as that then I advise you to be just as careful, Togami-san!

[Clearly, but it reminded him what he was up against, no doubt. Which, really, is the whole point of mentioning it, not just because he's an asshole.]

Your concern is unnecessary. Waste your breath on someone that needs it more than I.
